Fast Rising Artiste Thamarvel Reveals His Biggest Musical Inspiration.

Here is an interesting interview with THAMARVEL, a young artist whose style of music is said to be unique, genuine, passionate, and groovy to the maximum.

Thamarvel whose actual name is Rotimi Tosin Iyanuoluwa was born and brought up in Nigeria, he drives his root and origin from Ondo State where he also started his education at Brighter school in Ikare. He read philosophy and did his national service on the Plateau

The raving talented singer is a clear expression of the new generation alternative style, socially influential trend-setting urbanized Sound.

His style of music is a fusion of Afro-beat and Afro-pop culture with a heavy presence on digital platforms, radio and Television.

His hard work is evident as he has been featured in several songs over the years with a couple of projects to his credit.

His body of works captures a unique, urban-afro vibe sound and represents the new era.

According to him, he started music way back in secondary school. He revealed that he was always scared of recording and listening to himself because of his deep voice but after service, he summoned up courage.

Have you ever thought that you are doing a lot and people are not seeing what you’re doing?

Actually, in Nigeria, it can feel that way sometimes but I know everything is time and one needs to understand that as an artist that they are levels in life. You can not just go from zero to 100. Everything is a process and you need to follow it.

Have other artists been helpful or it’s being a one-man thing for you?

So far so good, the first person I had that showed support was classic, doing music from the north is a little bit difficult. I was doing music but the audience was so low so I had to fall back to Lagos.

How did your collaboration with Slimcase come about?

At one point I knew I need a song with someone popular so I told my manager and he was like, ok, let him see how he will reach out to Slimcase then he sent his number, we called and he said I should come to Lagos so we booked our flight, hotel and recorded and that was it.
