She is a Nigerian executive, businesswoman and entrepreneur, as well as the founder and CEO of Lagos Fashion Week, Style House Files, and also a special advisor to the Nigerian export promotion council.
Her start-up, Style House files, is a pioneer fashion image consultancy and creative direction agency that primarily focuses on the Nigerian and African fashion industries.
She launched the Lagos fashion design week (LFDW) in 2011, now in its 12th year, which brings the key players in the Nigerian and African fashion industry every year, and has played a key role in putting Nigeria on the international fashion map, with the aim of driving commerce and creativity in the industry.
It has since grown to be one of the most anticipated fashion events in Africa, partnering with the biggest brands such as the British Fashion Council, while drawing international attention and buyers.

Her contributions to fashion have been recognized far and wide, and she has been honoured by the prestigious Business of fashion and reached the finals of the Tommy Hilfiger Social Innovation Challenge.

- She was born in Lagos, Nigeria, where she gained a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Lagos and a master’s degree in international economic law from the University of Warwick.
- She was named Zero Oil Ambassador for Nigeria by the CEO of the Nigerian export promotion council and president of Ecowas TPO Network.
- She is married to Tokunbo Akerele, a Nigerian executive and board member, and they have three daughters and live in Lagos.
- She has been on the business fashion global five hundred lists since 2017.
- She is not a fan of rings, according to her, she doesn’t even put on her wedding rings.
