Nigerian music star Asake has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing Burna Boy for the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
With the release of his third album, Lungu Boy, Asake debuted nine songs on the chart, marking his 50th entry overall and setting a new record.
Among the standout tracks, the collaboration with Travis Scott titled “Active” reached number one. Other popular songs from the album, such as “MMS” featuring Wizkid, “Mood,” “Fuji Vibes,” and “Suru” featuring Stormzy, also secured top positions. This impressive performance further establishes Asake’s status as a leading figure in the music industry.
Additionally, Lungu Boy has seen commercial success, matching the record for the highest-charting Nigerian album on the Apple Music US chart and reaching number one on the Apple Music UK chart. This achievement marks Asake’s third album to hit these milestones, following his debut album Mr. Money With The Vibe and his sophomore effort Work of Art.
Asake’s impressive run of hits has solidified his position as a defining superstar of this era, with Lungu Boy being his third album released in just three years.
