Alec Baldwin has announced a new reality TV show, just a month before his manslaughter trial. His attempt to dismiss the charges was recently denied by the judge.
Baldwin and his wife Hilaria will showcase their family life with their seven children, aged 19 months to 10 years. “We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs; the good, the bad, the wild, and the crazy,” they shared on Instagram.
The trial, set in New Mexico, follows a 2021 incident on the “Rust” film set. Baldwin, rehearsing with a loaded Colt .45, accidentally killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza. Baldwin claims he did not pull the trigger and the gun shouldn’t have had live rounds.
If convicted, Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison. The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, received an 18-month sentence for manslaughter.
Baldwin, mostly absent from the screen since the incident, will return with this show in 2025. The announcement has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some excited and others critical of its timing and portrayal.
A user commented, “If this is a reality show, you need to acknowledge the people we never see, who take care of your children,” questioning the number of nannies employed.
Baldwin, an Emmy winner, was previously married to actress Kim Basinger, with whom he has a 28-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin.
