Kylian Mbappe played his final game for PSG in the French Cup final on Saturday at Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy. First-half goals from Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz secured PSG’s victory. Reflecting on the match, Mbappe said, “It was both difficult and enjoyable because it’s a final, and in the end, we won. It’s filled with joy. We leave with our heads held high, especially with a trophy, and we only keep the positives.”
When asked about his next club, the 25-year-old explained, “I think the best thing to do is to finish these goodbyes. I wanted to finish well with my club. There’s a trophy. I’ll announce my new club in due course, just a few days away.”

PSG head coach Luis Enrique acknowledged the challenge ahead as Mbappe, PSG’s all-time leading scorer with 256 goals and 15 titles, departs. “I have had the good fortune to coach Kylian this season. It is difficult to say goodbye,” Enrique noted. He emphasized that no single player can replace Mbappe, but the team and several new signings will strive to meet expectations next season.
PSG’s primary goal remains the elusive Champions League trophy, following their semifinal loss to Borussia Dortmund. “A big challenge for any player who wants to come is that we want to make history and win the Champions League. This club will achieve it sooner or later,” Enrique stated.

As the season concludes, PSG is already looking at potential signings to bolster the squad. “Negotiations are starting, and there are possibilities to improve. A big club is very demanding; the players need to adapt. There is no such thing as a holiday in top-level football,” Enrique added.
