Anthony Martial bids an emotional farewell to Manchester United, expressing his deep gratitude and affection for the club and its supporters. Martial, who joined Manchester United from Monaco in 2015 for a then-record fee for a teenager of £36 million, leaves behind a legacy of 317 appearances, 90 goals, and multiple titles including two Carabao Cups, an FA Cup, and the Europa League.
In his heartfelt message on Instagram, Martial shared:
“Dear Manchester United fans,
It is with great emotion that I write to you today to say goodbye. After nine incredible years at the club, the time has come for me to turn a new page in my career.
Since arriving in 2015, I have had the immense honour of wearing this shirt and playing in front of you, the best supporters in the world! Your unwavering support through good times and difficult moments has been a constant source of motivation for me.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. Your songs, your encouragement, and your love for the club are memories that will remain engraved in my heart forever. I also wish to express my gratitude to all my teammates, technical staff, and every member of the club I have met over these nine years. Sharing these experiences with you has been a true privilege.
Manchester United will always be in my heart. This club has profoundly impacted my career, offering me an incredible opportunity to play in front of you. Though I am leaving to embrace new challenges, I will always be a Red Devil and will continue to follow the club’s results with passion.
