After their successful partnership on the infectious summer hit “I Wish” alongside Libianca, Nigerian vocalist Lojay and British musician Jae5 are returning with an exciting new venture. This time, it’s not just a single they’re bringing to the table but a full-length collaborative EP.
Scheduled for release on Friday, March 8, 2024, Lojay and Jae5 are gearing up to unveil their joint EP titled “Loveless”. This marks their inaugural album collaboration, stirring up anticipation among fans eager for fresh sounds. Leading up to the EP launch, the duo will debut the first single, “Dishonest”, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, giving listeners a taste of what’s to come.
Announcing the creation of “Dishonest”, Lojay and Jae5 revealed their collaboration with Zimbabwean vocalist and songwriter Sha Sha, as well as Tyler ICU. With Tyler ICU’s reputation as a prominent South African DJ and record producer behind amapiano hits like “Dalie” and “Mnike”, fans can anticipate an infusion of amapiano vibes.
In 2023, Lojay had a remarkable year with the release of his critically acclaimed EP, “Gangster Romantic”, featuring the chart-topping track “Moto” which amassed over 28 million streams. He also made waves with his debut Australian tour, captivating audiences with his velvety vocals and dynamic stage presence. Furthermore, Lojay showcased his rising star status with performances at prestigious events like The Felabration 2023, paying tribute to the iconic Fela Kuti.
Teaming up with Jae5, renowned for his collaborations with Afrobeats heavyweights such as Wizkid and Stormzy, Lojay continues to build on his successes. Their previous collaboration, “I Wish” featuring Libianca, became a fan favorite, heightening anticipation for the forthcoming “Loveless” EP.
