Omah Lay’s track ‘Soso’ emerged as the most played song on radio in Nigeria throughout 2023.
Following the success of his debut album ‘Boy Alone’ in 2022, which featured the standout single ‘Soso,’ Omah Lay continued to captivate audiences nationwide.
Nearly a year after its initial release, ‘Soso’ surged in popularity across streaming platforms and on the airwaves, cementing its status as a chart-topping hit in Nigeria.
According to TurnTable Charts, ‘Soso’ dominated the radio waves in 2023, amassing an impressive 1.74 billion impressions, securing its position at the top of the list, which included some of the year’s biggest songs.
Spyro’s ‘Who’s Your Guy’ remix featuring Tiwa Savage claimed the second spot with 1.53 billion impressions, followed by Asake’s ‘Lonely At the Top’ at third with 1.46 billion, and Victony & Tempoe’s ‘Soweto’ at fourth with 1.43 billion impressions.
Davido’s ‘Feel’ rounded out the top five with 1.42 billion impressions, while Davido himself was the only artist to have two songs within the top ten, with his Grammy-nominated single ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys ranking at No. 8 with 1.25 billion impressions.
