Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy continues his impressive streak as his hit single ‘City Boy’ secures a BPI silver certification in the United Kingdom, crossing the remarkable milestone of over 200,000 units in sales. This adds to the global superstar’s growing list of certifications and accolades.
The acclaimed track, part of Burna Boy’s seventh album ‘I Told Them,’ released in 2023, has been a standout success internationally. Produced by MD$ and Ruuben, ‘City Boy’ cleverly samples Jeremih’s February 2009 single, ‘Birthday Sex.’ Its infectious melody, catchy writing, and accompanying viral dance steps have contributed to its commercial triumph.
