Common has teamed up with a management firm to enhance their efforts in discovering and nurturing emerging talent in the film and television industry.
On January 10, SMAC Entertainment announced a collaboration with the accomplished artist and Be hitmaker to expand their talent roster.
As reported by Deadline, Common, the rapper, and actor, will contribute to the team by providing expertise in “strategic brand partnerships and endorsements, non-scripted projects, and brand development for future products and collaborations.”

Constance Schwartz-Morini, CEO of SMAC, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are beyond thrilled to welcome Common to the SMAC family. His commitment to keeping it real and making a difference aligns perfectly with our motivating force at SMAC, and we believe Common is not just a great fit; he’s a game-changer. We can’t wait to take off on this exciting journey together!”
In his personal life, Common’s relationship with Jennifer Hudson appears to be thriving nearly a year after initial reports of their romance.
Recently, the couple was seen sitting courtside at an NBA game in Chicago where the Bulls faced off against the Philadelphia 76ers, resulting in a victory.
Having been spotted together multiple times since early 2023, rumors circulated that they grew close on the set of Breathe. When questioned by TMZ in August, Hudson neither confirmed nor denied the rumors but graciously accepted compliments about their alleged relationship. When asked about the possibility of a musical collaboration, Hudson responded, “It’ll be dope to see two Chicagoans together, but I don’t know about that. We’ll see. It could be awesome.” Addressing the rumors directly, she added, “Rumors say a lot of things. But he’s a beautiful man. I will give you that. That’s for certain.”
