In a heartfelt and candid video posted on her social media channels, Teni not only disclosed her challenging health journey but also unveiled the release date of her upcoming album, “Tears of the Sun,” set for November 17, 2023. Notably, 2023 has seen several celebrities courageously discussing their health struggles, with Tiwa Savage and Drake also taking musical hiatuses to prioritize their well-being.
The ordeal began as Teni started experiencing recurring episodes of temporary voice loss, prompting medical professionals to recommend a significant procedure to protect her vocal cords from potential permanent damage. In her emotional video message, Teni shared, “Testimony Time When you finally get to hear this Album, I want you to listen from your heart, embrace it with your soul, and I want you to know, I gave it my all, spoke my truth from my heart, straight from my heart, against all odds. Tears of the Sun.”
September brought further challenges as Teni found herself hospitalized due to multiple episodes of exhaustion. She underwent a series of medical injections to address the lingering effects of the throat infection. Fortunately, by October, she had regained her voice. “Tears of the Sun” stands as a testament to gratitude, marking a significant milestone in her remarkable journey.
