Former United States President, Barack Obama has shared his summer playlist for the year 2023 and two Nigerian songs made the list.
Nigerian Grammy award winning superstar Burna Boy made the cut with his latest record, Sittin’ On Top Of The World (Remix) featuring 21 Savage.
Burna isn’t the only Nigerian on the list as Ayra Starr’s 2023 hit song, Sability also made the list.
Barack Obama shared his forty-one song playlist on his social media pages, writing, “Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer, a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed.”
The Nigerian stars joined other superstars such as Jorja Smith, SZA, J Hus, Drake, Nas, and thers on the playlist that comprises both classic and new records.
Burna Boy has previously featured on Obama’s annual summer playlist in 2022 with his heartbreak song, Last Last while Ayra Starr’s, Rush made Obama’s 2022 end-of-the-year playlist.
