Kenyan gay rights activist, Edwin Chiloba was found murdered with his body stacked in a metallic box along Kipenyo-Kaptinga road in Kapsaret, Uasin Gishu.
Investigations are ongoing as Cctv reveals that his body was dumped from a car without a plate number.
His remains are in the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital awaiting post-mortem to establish the cause of his death.
Speaking on the incident, the spokesperson of the Kenyan Police Force, Resila Onyango said they are yet to know the motive.
“We don’t know for now why he was killed that way. Experts are handling the matter,” she said.
In early 2022, Edwin posted pictures of him on Instagram after he was assaulted because of his sexuality.
