Singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez has opened up about some of the painful experiences she suffered, prior to getting married to actor, Ben Affleck.
In a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, JLo reflecting on her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck said, “It was so painful after we broke up. Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life.
“I honestly felt like I was going to die. It sent me on a spiral for the next 18 years where I just couldn’t get it right. But now, 20 years later, it does have a happy ending. It has the most ‘would never happen in Hollywood’ ending.”
Jennifer Lopez also disclosed the message her husband Ben Affleck had engraved on the green diamond engagement ring he gave her when they got engaged for the second time.
According to her, Ben Affleck engraved the words, “Not. Going. Anywhere” on the ring. She explained that he began using the phrase after they rekindled their romance.
Jennifer Lopez also touched up on her forthcoming album titled, ‘This Is Me… Now’, which she announced on Friday on the 20th anniversary of her album, ‘This Is Me… Then’.
She shared that her record from twenty years ago captured a time when she fell in love with the love of her life.
Affleck and Lopez, or ‘Bennifer’, as they were dubbed by the press, first met in 2002 on the set of their movie Gigli, which came out the following year. In the same year, JLo released her album, This Is Me… Then.
They were both engaged until 2004 before splitting up. They however rekindled their romance in 2021 and ultimately got married in Las Vegas in July.
