The treatment of burns depends on the location and severity of the damage
Here are some first-aid treatments for burns
You need to first of all stop what is causing the burn. After that,
- Put the patients in running water of temperature
- Do not apply oil on the person’s body as some oil can cause more heat
- Don’t use ice on a burning surface as ace can actually cause a burn
- Do not try to break the blisters
- Transport the person to the hospital immediately after first aid mostly if its a second, third or fourth-degree burn
- Wrap the person with a clean cloth to avoid infection
- Place the patients opposite the affected place and ensure the person is comfortable in that position.
There is a healing process for burns based on the degree of the burn. When there is burning on the bone, it can cause contracture and stiffness of the joint.
