Author, Moyosore Oluwakayode talks to us about her book which is about life & family.
Moyosore is 1o years old and wants to use her talent to inspire children all over the world with her book “The Birthday Party”.
According to Moyodore, she was inspired to write this book when she was 7years old through the holy spirit and things happening around her.
Why pick the name Omotolani as the main character in your book?
I have a friend whose name is Tolani and I also like the name. Apart from the meaning of her name, the character was from a wealthy home.
Tell us more about your book
Omotalani is a girl, she is used to celebrating her birthday ever since she was 4 years old so her parents have enough money to celebrate her 10thy year birthday because they were into an investment but Tolani felt bad about it, she locks herself up in the room and isolated herself.
Omotolani’s parents were not strict with her and why she was a brat, if she wasn’t a brat, she would have understood the situation and let it go.
However, hitting her wouldn’t have solved the problem, it would have instead made have to feel bad like she wasn’t liked by her parents. Being the only child and being pampered is all that made her behave and feel the way she felt.
Nevertheless, her parent ended up throwing her a party but not what she wanted, Omotolani wanted the talk of the town part and did not consider her parent’s pocket and situation.
