Following a magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos, Panshak Zamani popularly known as Ice Prince has been ordered to be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
The rapper was arraigned before the court by the Lagos State Police Command on three counts bordering on assault, obstruction and abduction of a policeman.
Ice Prince however pleaded not guilty when the counts were read to him.
Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi subsequently granted him bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira, as he, Ice Prince is also to provide the court with two responsible sureties.
Now, pending when he meets the bail conditions, the magistrate ordered that Ice Prince be remanded in the correctional centre, while also adjourning further proceedings in the case till the seventh of September.
All of this is coming after Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin took to Twitter to reveal that Ice Prince was arrested.
He tweeted, “At 3 am today, Ice prince was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.
He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
