According to the story, the people involved gave thanks to God for saving them. The POP ceiling fell as soon as the house’s occupants left the sitting room to the kitchen.
They were said to have been there some seconds before the incident with the baby on the bed watching cartoons. Though no one was injured their gadgets were destroyed in the process.
Recall that, late last year, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 4 star, Tuoyo Ideh, escaped what could have killed or caused severe damage to him.
The POP ceiling of the kitchen part of his apartment collapsed entirely and the reality star was fortunate not to be around that side of the house when the incident happened.
Tuoyo shared videos of the collapsed ceiling on his Instagram story channel and gave thanks to God that he wasn’t inside the apartment at the time the ceiling fell.
This is not the first time we have heard stories like this. However, whose fault is it? should we pin it on the builders for using substandard materials or the landlords for keeping an old building that is due for renovation up for rent?
