American rapper ASAP Rocky has pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a firearm.
The rapper appeared in a Los Angeles court in person, in company of his lawyer, Sara L. Caplan, who entered the plea on his behalf after being accused of pointing a semi-automatic handgun at a victim identified as fellow rapper ASAP Relli before allegedly firing it in his direction in a subsequent confrontation in November last year.
According to the filed legal documents, lawyers representing ASAP Relli said Rocky’s conduct was extreme and outrageous and had caused their client to suffer extreme emotional distress.
The lawsuit states that during the altercation and while in close physical proximity to the plaintiff, the defendant pulled out a handgun and purposefully pointed it in the direction of the plaintiff and fired multiple shots.
The lawsuit continued to claim that Relli was struck by bullet projectile/fragments, which led to him receiving medical attention.
ASAP Relli has also requested damages of twenty-five thousand dollars over the incident, plus additional damages to cover his medical bills.
Judge Victoria Wilson however set in motion the protective order requested by prosecutors, which prevents Rocky from possessing any firearms or ammunition and prohibits him from contacting or coming within one hundred yards from Relli at all times, as well as setting a preliminary trial date for November 2, 2022.
Just so you know back in April, ASAP Rocky was arrested at LAX airport after arriving from Barbados. He was later released after posting a five hundred and fifty thousand dollars’ bond.
And all of this was in connection with the argument that sparked off between himself and fellow ASAP Mob member, ASAP Relli in November last year in Hollywood which escalated to shooting.
