Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has said that his successful song, Last Last, has earned him more royalties than any other song he is released since beginning his career.
The award-winning entertainer said this during an interview on Shopping For Sneakers when he cleared the air about American singer Toni Braxton collecting a large percentage of the money made from the single.
Burna Boy included a sample of Braxton’s “He Was not Man Enough,” which he said played a significant role in his childhood.
Recall that Burna had shocked fans when he dropped a bombshell about Toni Braxton earning over 60% of the royalties from “Last Last“.
Burna Boy revealed this during an interview with the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast and shared how the sample came to be.
His revelation caused critics to drag him for forfeiting such a large percentage of royalties.
However, in his new interview, Burna said people misunderstood what he meant when he said she takes 60% of whatever money comes from “Last Last“.
The ‘Kilometer’ hitmaker further explained that the songstress only takes home 60 per cent of part of the royalties of the song.
