According to research, the number of BBLs globally since 2015 has risen 77.6 percent. Who is to blame for this alarming increase?
Brazilian butt lift (BBL). It’s become one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures but it’s also the deadliest. What then is driving its astonishing rise?
Using a combination of liposuction and fat grafting, a successful BBL results in added volume, defined curves, and a butt lift
A BBL starts with liposuction, a procedure where a surgeon sucks fat out of areas in the body, then processes and re-injects it into the buttocks and hips.
“A Brazilian butt lift is really us augmenting the buttocks by adding fat. It’s a double bonus for the patient because they have fat removed from areas where they do not want it and they have it added into their buttocks where they do want it,”
Dr. Wright Jones, a double board-certified plastic surgeon, told HuffPost.
“A BBL does add some lift to the butt, but it’s really filling the butt.. We’re filling the butt with fat and we’re adding volume, which inflates and lifts the butt.” he added
But, who is to blame for this alarming increase?
While some may say the celebrities, the likes of the kardashians etc others argue it’s just inferiority complex.
