Naira Marley hasn’t really been on top of the game for a while now, but he’s dropping an album anyway.
The forthcoming project dubbed “God’s Timing’s The Best” will be his first studio album. It is, at the very least, expected to be a good one, considering Naira Marley has had all this time to prepare for this moment.
You can already tell that this album will be a mixture of street sounds and hip-hop. Will this be the time we will hear Naira Marley go back and do conscious hip-hop like “Bad Influence” again? We’ll have to wait and see that.
But the thing is, if Naira Marley really wants a good album, he’ll need to do better in the collaborations department. He hasn’t really done a lot of high-profile collaborations and he’ll need them if he’s gonna have any chance.
For someone like Naira Marley, it can’t be that hard to link up with some of the music industry’s biggest names. It should take just one call, as a matter of fact.
It’ll really be a shame if all he ends up doing is featuring Zinoleesky for the 25th time, honestly. He has the resources to make those calls and make something happen. So that’s what he should be doing.
I have said this in the past, but I’ll say it again. A Naira Marley and Buju collab will be an absolute madness and he should be going for something like that if he wants to create an album people care about. Well, over to you.
