Chow mein is a traditional Chinese dish made with egg noodles and stir-fried veggies
Over the centuries, variation of Chaomian was developed in many regions in China; there is several methods of frying the noodles and range of toppings can be used. It was introduced in other countries by Chinese immigrants.
A great Chow Mein comes down to the sauce which is made with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar and cornstarch for thickening.
Here’s the ingredients to prepare Chow Mein
- Salts
- Seasoning cubes
- 2tsp vegetable oil
- 2tsp Minced Ginger
- 11/2tsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Garlic Gloves/Minced
- 4tsp Low-sodium Soy Sauce
- 11/2 Cups Matchstick Carrots
- 3 Cups Thinly Sliced Green Cabbage
- 1 lb Refrigerated Vermecilli Noodles
- 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 2/3 Cup Chopped Green Onions
- 1 Cup Thinly Sliced Green Cabbage (3 stalks)
