The Southern governors after a meeting on Monday issued a communique stating that Nigeria’s next president should be from the southern part of the country.
They also rejected the removal of electronic transmission of results from the electoral act. Some Nigerian activists stormed the National Assembly in solidarity with the Southern Governors on electronic transmission of results.
