“I had to have a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) to make me have a life again and to stop going through what I was going through.  And I’m literarily telling women and men, it really doesn’t matter if you can’t bear children. What really matters is what you would do for the world, for the universe.”

“I didn’t think there was any point anymore because my society taught me that I have to be a mother to be appreciated and every time I went online, I would have one troll or two say ‘you never born? But I’m thankful that that didn’t break me,” she said.

Speaking with Morayo and the ladies of Your View on how the media handled the conversation, she said after attending a premier with her husband, a photo was taken and someone said; “They step out after seeking for the fruit of the womb. There is the other that says their marriage is over, because Nse is barren.”

Nse added that “using the word barren is okay if that is what makes you comfortable. But does it make the other person comfortable?”

“You can wait and smile through it all , find  your happiness in other things. We need to change the way we view this things.

I knew how to wait in gratitude after my despair, and how to say it’s  also okay for what I’ve expected”
