Over the weekend, Queen Elizabeth and close members of the Royal Family bid a final farewell to Prince Phillip, at the funeral restricted by coronavirus rules.
The ceremony was watched by millions all over the world, with the public urged to stay away because of the pandemic, even Queen Elizabeth sat alone in the church and the Prime Minister couldn’t show up because of the strict endurance to the covid rules!
Comparing this to burials of dignitaries we have seen recently in Nigeria, which is usually filled with well-wishers despite the pandemic. The question now is, why do we do things this way? Is it our culture? Should we respect that that’s who we are as a people? Should we borrow a leaf out of these people’s book? #YourViewTVC
