In a move to get her citizens to spend their money in the country, and in an effort to shift the country’s economic dependency on crude oil, the Saudi Arabia Government has been making different changes since last year.
This time around, the Government has decided to invite American rapper Nicki Minaj headline the Jeddah World Music Festival in Saudi Arabia. You may recall that early this year the American singer, Mariah Carey held her own concert in Saudi Arabia, despite backlash from women’s rights activists.
The country’s Vision 2030 has been the drive for relaxing some of her age-long restrictions one of which includes the lifting of the ban on movie theaters, and women were finally given the right to drive.
