The much anticipated album, The Lion king: The Gift, features her husband Jay-z, Blue Ivy and a few american artist, also a host of African artists which includes Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, BurnaBoy, Shatta Wale, Tekno, Tiwa Savage and others were featured on the project.
During a recent interview with Good Morning America, Beyonce’ revealed the following about the album;
“This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa. I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa and not just use some of the sounds and do my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa” she said.
