The body of the second 100 Level student, Emmanuella Mson, who drowned in River Benue, has been recovered from a river in Nasarawa.
The body was placed at the bank of river Benue from where it was later moved to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital.
Mson, only child of her parents and a student of College and Health Science and Kole Christopher, also a100 Level Computer Science student, drowned while swimming inside River Benue on Friday evening at 6pm.
It was gathered that they had gone swimming alongside three others after playing football by the riverside behind the school when the incident happened. The current was said to have increased pulling the students deeper into the water. Three of them managed to swim back to shore while the two others drowned.
The three students ran back to the campus and called for help. The University management through the security unit as well as Marine Police immediately launched a search and rescue operation.
Remains of the male student, Christopher was found floating on the river.
