A teenager has been arrested for attempted kidnapping of a 3 year old boy after punching his mother in the face in the Satellite town, Lagos State on April 12th.
The police command said that the teenager, a 19-year-old identified as Chisom Obiora, allegedly punched the boy’s mother identified as Mrs. Rofiat Ayinde in the face in order to abduct her three-year-old son whilst they were walking along the road.
Her scream for help led to the apprehension of the suspect. When interrogated, the suspect said he only picked the boy so he could show him direction to a place he was going. He denied attempting to kidnap the boy.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana, said the case of the stolen child was reported at Satellite Police Station.
