Lionel Messi made a flying start to this season’s Champions League by netting a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 4-0 win PSV Eindhoven at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona defeated a PSV Eindhoven 4-0 with Messi topping the score line with a hat-trick.
The Argentine opened the scoring line with a close to 18-yard box free kick before a sensational solo effort from Ousmane Dembele doubled the lead in the 75th minute.
At 77th minute, Messi doubled his score before completing his hat-trick a few minutes from full-time.
The final scoreline will perhaps be a bit unfair to PSV, who certainly had their chances on the counterattack, but were done in by their wayward finishing and the exploits of Messi.
