Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu has reacted to accusation that he abandoned his daughter, Ivanna since he divorced his wife, Vera, last year.
Ogu who will be playing for the national team in Russia is in preparation mood but has taken out time to respond to allegations of being an irresponsible dad.
Accusation came up when the midfielder took to his Twitter handle to wish Ivanna a happy birthday.
“On this day last year, I was in uyo serving my father land on your special day against South Africa . Today is your special day and I still can’t spend this day with you my Baby girl. Daddy is out here working hard to make you proud in Russia . Happy Birthday my love!!” he wrote.
However, Vera’s sister, Mimi fired at him claiming he pretends to be a responsible dad on social media.
“But Daddy was in Nigeria 2 weeks ago and didn’t see his daughter! Oh I forgot Daddy hasn’t seen his daughter since he kicked her and her mom out from Isreal LAST YEAR. You can do everything John but what you won’t do is pretend like you’re Ivanna’s life for the gram.” Mimi’s tweet reads.

However the Israeli-based player has reacted to the accusation, saying he paid in N1.5 million for his daughter’s birthday.
He wrote, “She [Ivanna] will be like ahhh, daddy no distractions please. Just focus and make me proud in Russia.
“I received the N1.5 million Naira you sent for my birthday party tomorrow in school. I will be celebrating my birthday with friends tomorrow in school! I love you daddy. My tall fine girl.”
