Nigerian singer, Chidinma Ekile, who was the winner of MTN Project Fame 2010, in a recent chat disclosed a few things as she covers the magazine, but one part of the interview really got people talking.
The musician, who came into limelight after winning Project Fame 2010 is recognized for her hit songs Kedike, Emi Ni Baller and more melodious songs. In her chat with The Guardian, she revealed she couldn’t see for some months when she was born according to her parents, she said;
I was born blind. I just couldn’t see for some months. Since I sang about it, I felt the need to help kids that find themselves in such situations or even worse. So every time I travel to these places, I try to extend a hand of love to these children.”

“For some years now—I think like two years or thereabout—I’ve been using my foundation to do quite a lot of things. I’ve been able to take it to some places in Africa. The last time, I think I was in Togo and I was able to do a few things with the SOS village, I hope to do more of that.”
However, the singer has used that experience for good, she made it known that she found passion in helping kids who happen to be in that kind of situation;
I felt the need to help kids that find themselves in such situations or worse. So every time I travel to these places, I try to extend a hand of love to these children.”
