President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali, has hailed the performance of the country’s wrestlers at the just concluded Senior African Wrestling Championship in Marakech, Morocco.
He says the athletes did him proud despite the paucity of fund during the preparation for the championships.
The victorious team who won eight gold and two silver medals at the event returned home on Monday.

Odunayo Adekuoroye, Blessing Oborududu, Mercy Genesis, Aminat Adeniyi, Kemeasuodei Dressman and Gofit Winnie all won gold in the female freestyle.
In the freestyle men’s cadre, the duo of Soso Tamarau and Ogbonna Emmanuel John clinched gold medals for Nigeria.
