What would have been multiple deaths were averted on Saturday when two female suicide bombers with IEDs strapped to their bodies were stopped from gaining access into a mosque at Juddumuri village in Borno State.
But while they could not gain access into the mosque , one of the attackers detonated her vest, killing herself, the second bomber, and injuring five worshipers.
The Borno State Force PPRO Isuku Victor confirmed the incident, saying the injured were taken to a specialist hospital in the city.
