Synergy between security agencies, religious bodies and traditional institutions must be strengthened for Nigeria to have a lasting end to its insurgency war.
That’s the submission of Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Garba Abari.
The NOA boss says the office of the national security adviser, and other security agencies must also interface better for total healing of memories and peace building.
Garba Abari was at the military cantonment in Jaji, where officers from different military and paramilitary formations are camped for a three-week intensive programme, tagged; Operation Haske Biyu.
According to the NOA boss, over 49,000 orphans are taking refuge at different IDP camps in the northeast, that’s apart from other millions of internally displaced persons.
He said a lot of people are embittered, and calming frayed nerves would require collaboration between security agencies.
