Bayelsa state Governor Seriake Dickson wants citizens to imbibe the virtue of sacrifice exemplified by Jesus Christ who gave his life for the redemption of mankind two thousand years ago.
This was part of his Easter message to people of the state in commemoration of the resurrection of Christ.
Ovieteme George reports that at the King of Glory Chapel Government House Yenagoa, the Bayelsa Governor and the congregation watched a drama presentation of the risen Christ about to ascend into Heaven.
The church choir and other groups also performed in commemoration of Easter when Jesus Christ resurrected on the third day after the crucifixion, but sacrifice to humanity was the prevailing theme.
Elsewhere at the Charismatic Renaissance International Church Yenagoa, Apostle David Wale Feso preached on the message “The Resurrected Life”, but the highpoint of the service was the celebration of the resurrection and what it means to Christendom.
