The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, says death toll in the Cerebro Spinal Meningitis, CSM, outbreak has risen to 336.
NCDC spokesperson, Lawal Bakare, confirmed that a total of 2,997 suspected cases were reported in 16 States, 146 of the cases have been confirmed by the laboratory.
Mostly States from the Northern part of the Country are affected by the disease as officials struggle to secure enough vaccines to prevent it.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government has activated an emergency operations centre to manage the outbreak of the disease.
