CS Sfaxien of Tunisia became the first team to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup group phase after defeating RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso 2-0 at home Friday.
The result in Sfax gave Sfaxien, three-times former winners of the Confederation Cup, a 4-1 aggregate win in the second leg of their play-off.
Sfaxien won the Confederation Cup in 2007, 2008 and 2013 and were runners-up in 2010.
The number of group places has been expanded this season from eight to 16 and a further 14 qualifiers will be known by Sunday.
Nigerian champions Enugu Rangers will be in action against Zesco United in Ndola.
The first leg ended 2-2.
