Adele’s “21” has topped Carole King’s “Tapestry” as the longest-charting album by a woman on the Billboard 200 list.
Debuted at No. 1 on March, 2011, “21” remained number one for 24 nonconsecutive weeks and is now at No. 103.
The song is the second studio album by the British singer, and was named after the then age of the singer.
The album was inspired by the break-up with her former partner and the sound is described as a mix of classical, soul and contemporary country music.
