American Filmmaker, Johnathan Demme has died in New York at 73.
Johnathan whose Oscar-winning thriller “The Silence of the Lambs” instituted one of the most indelible villains in movie history was reported to have died of complications from esophageal cancer.
As a lover of music, his movies were filled with songs and documentaries or videos for such artists as Neil Young, the Pretenders and Justin Timberlake.
Demme was known for a compassionate approach to his characters and his use of dramatic close-ups, most effectively.
