Musician George Michael was laid to rest on Wednesday (March 29) at a cemetery in London following his death in December last year.
The singer – best known for his time in the band ‘Wham’ and his solo work – died on Christmas Day 2016 at his home in Oxfordshire. He was 53.
He was buried at Highgate Cemetery in North London, where public figures including Karl Marx and George Eliot are entombed.
On March 7 2017, a British coroner announced that Michael had died of natural causes, saying there was no need for further inquiries into his death.
The initial autopsy into the singer’s death had been inconclusive.
