Nicki Minaj now has more songs on the Billboard Hot 100 than any other female artist.
She has surpassed Aretha Franklin, who she was previously tied with as of March 18, when they both had 73 entries each.
Franklin’s reign on the ranking lasted from June 18, 1977 until March 11, 2017, when she and Minaj first tied. Though Franklin has top billing on every one of her entries, Minaj has top billing on 32 of her entries and is featured on the remaining 44.
Feb. 20th, 2010 marked Minaj’s debut on the chart: She was a featured artist on Lil Wayne’s “Knockout,” which peaked at No. 44. “Your Love” was her first entry with lead billing, and she peaked at No. 14 in August of the same year. “Anaconda” leads her 13 top 10 hits, having reached the No. 2 spot.
