The Lagos State University LASU, held its 21st convocation ceremony on Thursday with the Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode as visitor.
It was a momentous occasion as postgraduate diplomas, Masters, Ph.Ds, honorary doctorates and distinguished professorship were conferred on deserving individuals within and outside the ivory tower.
Vice chancellor of the institution, Olanrewaju Fagbohun lauded the commitment of Governor Ambode to the institution, and asked for more support.
As part of the Lagos state government’s development plans, Governor Ambode said the state government will deliver a 6000-bed hostel to the university.
More than 36 thousand graduands, emerged in various disciplines at LASU this year.
Honorary awards were conferred on Folorunso Alakija, Kessington Adebutu and Professor Peter Okebukola in appreciation of their contributions to humanity.
