World football governing body, FIFA has slammed a two year suspension on former executive committee member Amos Adamu.
FIFA’s adjudicatory chamber of independent Ethics Committee, found the Nigerian guilty of violating rules bordering on loyalty and conflicts of interest under its code of ethics.
This follows Adamu’s involvement in organising an event in 2010, while being a member of FIFA’s Executive Committee.
This development means Adamu who had earlier served a three year ban, will stay away from “football-related activities” within and outside Nigeria for another two years.
The ban takes effect from Tuesday, February 28.
