Lagos @ 50 Celebrates literary arts

For the 2016 edition of the annual artistic event widely known as The Vision of the Child, organisers of the project say the theme will have a lot to do with Lagos State as it celebrates Lagos @ 50.

At the unveiling of the event, which comes with a painting and literary competition for children, Ace Journalist, Jahman Anikulapo said the project is meant to champion the intellectual development of children and the growth of art in primary and secondary schools.

The vision of a child an initiative geared towards promoting education through creative thinking, literary arts and painting skills is the brainchild of Professor Wole Soyinka.

The competition, which is open to school children between the ages of 8 and 12 in Lagos State comes with a handsome reward for the winners apart from the further development of the literary and visual art skills of participants.
