Nollywood filmmaker Obi Emelonye has revealed plans to dig up hidden secrets, pains and struggles of controversial former head of state, Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida popularly known as IBB in a new film titled ‘Badamasi, portrait of a general.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, Obi said the movie is an historical factual film meant to look at the man that ruled Nigeria from August 1985 to August 1993 when he was forced to step down.
The filmmaker said that the movie will give Nigerians access into IBB’S role in some of the most defining and controversial moments of Nigeria’s journey to nationhood.
Major cast for the film is yet to be revealed. Badamasi, portrait of a general, will be shot in Lagos, Minna and Abuja.
