The Trial of the former governor of Oyo state Rasheed Ladoja was on Tuesday stalled at the federal high court Lagos,as a result of the prosecuting counsel’s inability to update the witness name on the proof of evidence.
The former Governor is facing an eight count charge bordering on fraudulent practices that is panning more than eight years.
Witness for the prosecution Abdullahi Lawal was in court to testify, but defence counsel objected citing the absence of the witness name on the proof of evidence according to the requirement of the administration of criminal justice act section 397.
Justice Idris ruled for an adjournment to allow the prosecution time to update the proof of evidence.
