Friends and family gathered at the joint residential compound of Hollywood stars Debbie Reynolds and her daughter, Carrie Fisher to remember the two actresses who died a day apart last week.
Among those who were seen making their way through the gate of the compound in Beverly Hills were Meryl Streep, Ellen Barkin and Ed Begley Jr.
Carrie Fisher, who rose to fame as Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” films and later battled through drug addiction before going on to tell her story as a best-selling author, died on December the 27th at age 60 after suffering a heart attack.
Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, was a leading lady in Hollywood musicals and comedies in the 1950s and 1960s, including “Singin’ in the Rain.” She died just one day after Fisher’s death.
Fisher and Reynolds will reportedly be buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills.
