A group within the camp of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo state has insisted that the nomination of Igbekele Daudu as non-career ambassador from Ondo State is illegal and a slap on the members of the party in the state.
The group known as Movement Against Imposition (MAI) had last week rejected the nomination of Daudu whom they accused of working for the Alliance for Democracy in the last governorship election.
The Coordinator of the group in the State, Austin Pelemo, while addressing a press briefing in Akure, the state capital said President Mohammadu Buhari, party leader, Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the party must intervene in the issue.
He noted that that a person who worked for another party can never be allowed to take a position that is meant for members of the APC.
